I havn't changed whatever the default is.
I'll give the saving and merging a try.
I've found that if the first thing I do when I turn on the computer
(not just a reset) and use the compile from disk instead of the
current program in the editor, it will work most of the time. So, I'm
not quite as distraught as I was, but it still bugs me!
